Well, I have good news and bad news.
First off, the mass did test as malignant sarcoma. So Carson did have cancer. As of now, the specialist are confident chemotherapy and radiation are not needed because of the way the tumor formed to the bone and they did remove the ENTIRE mass. We return to MD Anderson next week to have a check up with Dr. Swisher and hopefully have a full body scan performed. Carson will have to get full body scans every six months to make sure the cancer has not come back.
This is all I know. We are shocked, but also thankful they were able to catch it and remove it quickly. We ask for your prayers that it will not come back. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers already given. We are good-I promise! Carson was joyful about not having to endure chemo/radiation at this time. We are counting our blessings.
Thank you again.
